Child star Lindsay Lohan returns at age 25, recovering from drug use and alcoholism. After multiple DUIs, Lohan finally sought help. She is now sober and, after months of rehab, Lohan is ready to get her life back on track and continue to do what she loves – acting. This original Disney Channel star did not always have such a rough life. Starting out as a model, she had her first big break in the hit movie remake “The Parent Trap” in 1998 at the age of 11. She gained more fame when she landed leading roles in  both “Mean Girls” and “Herbie: Fully Loaded”, working alongside A-list actors such as Rachel McAdams and Micheal Keaton. Lohan began to broaden her horizons beyond acting when she came out with her first album “Speak”, followed up by another album “A little more personal (Raw)”, which attracted publicity surrounding her personal life. In 2007, her career was put on hold when she recived two DUIs. This was only the beginning of Lohan’s problems. Her visits to many different rehab centers cost her several movies deals. During one incident during a DUI arrest, police found a usuable amount of cocaine in Lohan’s car. She was arrested on a misdemeanor charge. She entered herself into the Promises Treatment Center for 45 days. When she left rehab, she was sober; however, she was arrested again a few weeks later. When the police searched her, they found a small bag of cocaine in her pocket. Along with driving under the influence with a suspened license, Lohan was booked on a felony charge. After many months of rehab and losing movie deals, Lohan went to court. She pleaded guilty to her misdemenor charge, and was sentenced to one day of community service, in addtion to three years of probation. In the years to follow, Lohan tried to piece her life back together. She became a huge fashion icon, and even starting a clothing line named after Marilyn Monroe’s birthday. Around this time, she began to date DJ Samantha Ronson. When asked about her sexual orientation, Lohan responded, “I don’t want to classify myself.” They soon went their seperate ways, and Lohan focused more of her acting. In August of 2009, Lohan’s house was burglarized by the Bling Ring, fashion-motivated burglars. Lohan’s house surveilance caught the culprits red-handed. This played a huge role in breaking the case, which led to the arrests of the group’s members. In a recent interview with Matt Lauer on the “Today Show”, Lohan seemed content with her life presently. She has gotten help, and has the support of her family. “I am clean and sober now,” reports Lohan. She hopes that more opportunities in the acting world will open for her now that she has turned her life around. She has definitely grown as a person, and hopes to continue to make better choices.
