Nazli Mohideen

Senior Editor

Nazli Mohideen is a staff writer and editor for the Falconer’s Voice. She typically writes about basketball, school news, global news, societal movements, and more. Especially her favorite is covering seniors for the

monthly Senior Spotlights! More often than not, you can

find her obsessively scrolling through NBA Twitter and eating breakfast in the car as she waits in the senior parking lot painfully early every day before class. She is a volunteer for the Monroe Township Public Library and Om Foundation, intern for the Millstone Times, and fills up her camera roll with everything from anatomy labs to aesthetic pictures of her very mundane life. Her friends come to her for advice, a person to rant to, but most importantly, clever Instagram captions. She hopes to study journalism at Rutgers University next year and eventually work for the New York Times, but for right now, is equally emotional as she is excited to be a part of the Newspaper Club for her fourth and final year at MTHS :)

Surabhi Ashok

Surabhi Ashok is an editor and staff writer of the Falconer's Voice. She has been a part of the Newspaper since freshman year, so she is excited for her last year of writing articles about school news, current events, social issues, and more. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, writing articles, listening to music, watching many shows and movies on Netflix, and singing. She is in the MTHS Concert Choir, and outside of school, she works at the Monroe Township Library, interns at the Millstone Times, and organizes events for a civic engagement  organization called Rhizome. You might also see her hanging out with friends and family, going on walks during good weather, or doing homework. She is so grateful that being in the club has allowed her to fully discover her passion for writing. She hopes to study business and journalism in college next year, but right now wants to fully experience being a senior at MTHS.

Ruhi Kulkarni

Aside from being a passionate writer who is a part of the MTHS Newspaper Club, Ruhi Kulkarni is involved in other extracurriculars as well! Ruhi is part of Youth & Government, Model UN, and Monroe Young Dems Chapter. Outside of school, Ruhi plays soccer, enjoys reading, trying new foods, and traveling in her free time. Her favorite food is sushi, and her favorite place is between Bangkok and Amsterdam. In the future, Ruhi hopes to pursue her passions of writing.

Siera Qosaj

Siera Qosaj is a sophomore at MTHS , and this is her second year being a part of Falconer's Voice. She. enjoys reading, watching movies, and painting. Along with the school newspaper, Siera is also in the Art Club, Italian Honors Society, and Chorus. She hopes to be a publisher or editor one day and go to college in Boston.

Harrison Wolk

Staff Writer

Harrison Wolk is a sophomore at MTHS. He is currently a member of the Baseball, Cross Country, and Winter Track programs. Other passions that he has outside of school include writing, drawing, and reselling sneakers. Over quarantine, Harrison was able to begin playing golf with some friends which has turned into a great hobby for him. He often plays with his dad and grandparents on the weekend at local courses. Someday, Harrison hopes to have a job relating to athletics, whether it be as a sports journalist or perhaps as a sports broadcaster.

Adriana Grasso

Adriana Grasso is a junior attending MTHS. She writes for the Falconer's Voice as part of her membership in the Newspaper Club. She enjoys photojournalism, poetry, writing, reading, classic literature, listening to music, seeing her friends, and she kayaks as well as works as a lifeguard over the summer. Her favorite type of articles to write are Op-Eds, and photojournalism based work due to the enjoyment of photographing. She is currently a Journalism II student and has been writing articles since her freshman year.

Kaylee Hunter

Staff Writer

Kaylee Hunter is a junior at MTHS and a staff writer for the Falconer's Voice. She is part of the high school's volleyball program, and Red Cross club. Her hobbies include reading, baking, hiking, playing volleyball and spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs, Leo & Fred. Kaylee plans on attending Rutgers University and pursuing a career in Neonatology. She is looking forward to being a part of the Newspaper Club this year.

Jack Manfre

Jack Manfre is a 15 year old, young, aspiring golfer currently taking on his greatest challenge yet: high school. From a young age, Jack found a passion fro sports and one sport in particular, baseball, which he would play for seven years. However, after the summer of 2018, his bat swinging days were over. During the summer of 2020, he would start up his golfing career, excelling faster than ever exceeding all expectations. He now spends his days honing in on his golf skills and trying to manage his very serious fantasy football leagues. As of right now, there is no clear picture for his future, but analysts are telling him that it's bright!

Jessica Drabyk

Staff Writer

Jessica Drabyk is currently a junior at MTHS. Not only is she a member of the MTHS Newspaper Club, but she is also a member of the Red Cross Club. Some of her favorite things to do outside of school include reading and watching hockey, specifically the New York Rangers. She also enjoys listening to music and some of her favorite artists include Arctic Monkeys, Taylor Swift, and Harry Styles. In the future, she hopes to attend Boston College and eventually pursue a career as a lawyer. One interesting fact about her is that she has a twin sister, who is also a member of the club!

Jillian Drabyk

Jillian Drabyk is a staff writer for the Falconer's Voice. She is a junior at MTHS and enjoys reading and writing. Jillian is also involved in the Red Cross Club. She enjoys watching New York Rangers hockey games and baking. Her favorite dessert to bake is brownies. Jillian hopes to pursue a career in the sports field and is excited to write for the school newspaper this year!

Hetvi Thakker

Staff Writer

Hetvi Thakker is a sophomore at MTHS who hopes to use her writing as a device to spread awareness about important humanitarian and social issues. Hetvi is deeply passionate and outspoken on the many injustices of the world, which she can probably debate with you on such issues for hours. Outside of Newspaper, Hetvi is involved in Youth and Government, Model UN, Mock Trial, and Key Club. Not only does Hetvi write for the Falconer's Voice, but she also enjoys writing various pieces in her free time, utilizing writing as a tool to spread awareness on social media, where she writes for multiple organizations focused on achieveing social justice. When she's not writing, you can probably find her reading or re-watching Brooklyn-99 for the 500th time. This is Hetvi's second year in the Newspaper Club, and she hopes to make a meaningful contribution as grow as a writer this year.

Vedika Singh

Vedika Singh is a sophomore at MTHS and enjoys writing articles for the Falconer's Voice. In addition to the Newspaper Club, Vedika is active in the Environmental Action Club, Youth and Government, and Academic Team. She enjoys journaling, cooking, and traveling in her free time. her favorite singer is Taylor Swift, and she loves mint chocolate chip ice cream. Vedika loves to meet new people and learn about new cultures! In the future, she aspires to keep writing and help the environment!
