The girls winter track team recently dominated their winter season, growing stronger in their athletic abilities individually. Throughout the winter season, the girls have placed and won medals at the Ocean Breeze Holiday Invitational, GMC Relays, GMC Championships, and a few frosh/novice meets. Staff Writer Monroe’s boys 4×400 track team competed in the Meet of Champions on Wednesday, June 4 at Frank Jost Field in South Plainfield. The Meet of Champions is a track and field event where New Jersey’s elite athletes come together to compete in an assortment of events. Coach Baldassano is a special education teacher at the high school, and is the assistant football coach. He also coaches the middle school wrestling team. Staff Writer The 2012 Monroe Township High School Boy’s Spring Track season is just about over. It has been a tough spring with very few individual team wins, but the team still worked hard and persevered for a strong finish during the Greater Middlesex County Relays.
