Before service at an Oak Creek, Wisconsin Sikh temple, Wade Michael Page opened fire, killing six people and wounding four. Reports say that he shot them out of hate and spite.

Page then engaged in a shoot-out with police after they arrived. Soon after, Page committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.

Page had alcohol issues, with many instances of drunken driving. He was arrested in Texas in 1994 after getting drunk and punching holes in the wall.
