Top travel destinations around the world

The world is full of many exciting countries with fascinating activities and new experiences. Many countries from Europe to Australia are definitely worth traveling to with family, friends, or even to tour alone.

These are the top five countries to travel to.

1. ITALY

Located in Europe, Italy has something new to explore in every corner.

Italy contains legendary cities like Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan and Verona. The most popular key destinations in these cities are the Colosseum and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

The Colosseum, the largest amphitheater ever built, is located in the center of Rome. In the past, it has been used for gladiatorial contests, mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of battles, and dramas about mythology. The partial ruin of the Colosseum is due to earthquakes and stone robbers, but it is still a symbol of Imperial Rome.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a free standing bell tower in the city of Pisa. It is the third oldest structure in the city’s Cathedral Square. On tours at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, people learn the history and see beautiful art. The tower is famous for its four degree tilt, making the leaning side of the tower a meter lower than the other side.

Italy is also filled with some of the most beautiful art around the world, including Michelangelo’s “Pieta,” “David” and Sistine Chapel ceiling.

Freshman Ava Palmer says, “If I could do my entire Italian vacation again, I’d do it in a heart beat. I saw the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and many more landmarks. My favorite thing about the vacation was seeing all the artwork and eating the food.”

San Miniato, Todi and Levantine are the best food cities in Italy. Signature dishes that are served are pasta, pizza, arancini, and lasagne.

The general climate for Italy varies based on the specific location of the city. In Northern Italy, rain is expected throughout the year and is the coolest part of the country. In contrast, Central Italy is usually temperate, dry in the summer, and foggy in the mornings. Lastly, Southern Italy is the “boot” of the country and is the warmest area. With the sea breezes, there is a comfortable climate even though there is a 70 percent chance of humidity in the summer.

2. AUSTRALIA
