1. Cardi B Divorces Offset

Five days before their third wedding anniversary, news broke of Cardi B filing for divorce from Offset. People weren't surprised since he's been unfaithful to Cardi previously, and while fans are speculating the divorce is as a result of infidelity, Cardi has assured it was based on their recent arguing. “Sometimes people really do...grow apart...before something bad happens...you sometimes just want to leave.” People are thinking that her decision is due to Offset getting another women pregnant or as a publicity stunt, all of which she said is false. She is requesting physical custody of their 2-year-old and child support. Their court date is set for November 4, 2020.


2. Zayn Malik & Gigi Hadid Welcome First Child Together

The on-again and off-again couple are now parents to a baby girl. After confirming her pregnancy in April, Hadid kept things quiet and occasionally shared pictures of her bump and even a selfie with Malik along with a caption of “baby daddy.” After Hadid’s dad shared a poem in a now-deleted Instagram post with the line, “welcome to earth Baby Girl…”, people suspected that the couple’s new addition was already here. They confirmed these rumors with pictures holding the little girl’s hand with Malik writing, “Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together" and Hadid adding, “So in love…”


3. Why Don't We Announces Return

Following a 9 month hiatus, Why Don’t We announced their return to social media.Their first album 8 Letters was released two years ago and after doing so, they grew a huge fan base. They decided to take a break starting in January and posted a “see you later” video to announce the news writing, “we’re taking the beginning of 2020 to...produce our next...album...” The band members continued to post on their personal accounts, but their shared account remained untouched until September 15, 2020 where they said “we’re back.” They announced that a new single called “Fallin’” will be released and advertised this with teaser clips and the hashtag #WDWFALLIN.


4. Elizabeth Gillies Weds in Intimate Jersey Ceremony

The Jersey native best known for her roles on Victorious and Dynasty, married her boyfriend of 6 years in a farm wedding with 10 guests. They were set to marry in April, but pushed it back because of COVID-19. Gillies shared, “It would have been in poor taste to burden people...to risk their lives to come to our wedding...that being said, we did want to get married as long as it could be done in a safe and intimate setting...” In a string of Instagram posts, Gillies uploaded pictures in her classic dress and congratulatory messages flooded her way from Victorious cast mates, among others, who were set to attend, but couldn’t given the circumstances. Gillies kept her relationship with Corocan private as they share a 20 year age gap and was a teenager when they met, while he was well into his thirties.


5. Zendaya Makes History as Youngest-Ever Emmy Winner in Her Category

Zendaya accepted her first-ever Emmy on September 20, 2020 at the young age of 24. Speaking of age, she made history as being the youngest Emmy winner in the category for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.” She was up against Sandra Oh, Olivia Colman, Laura Linney, Jodie Comer, and even Jennifer Aniston. To Zendaya’s surprise, she won and was recognized for her role as Rue on the show Euphoria. Although the show was virtual, Zendaya still had plenty of support from her team and family, all of whom she thanked in her acceptance speech. Celebrities congratulated her on the win and Zendaya carried the festivities over to Instagram where she later posted pictures from the night.
