Possible collaboration involving One Direction

Just last week, news broke out of 22-year-old Zayn Malik’s decision to quit One Direction, and millions of fans worldwide were devastated. The devastation does not have to last long, thankfully.

Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne––the four remaining artists in One Direction––have continued with their On the Road Again tour and plan on making adjustments to the design and setlist for the remainder of their tour, all of which exclude Malik…or so we thought.

One Direction has a long way to go before finishing their current tour, and once this tour is complete, a new album will be released. In the band’s past, their albums have only starred the members of the band. That will not remain true for One Direction’s fifth album.

Malik has been seen entering (and leaving) recording studios since arriving home in the United Kingdom. Styles, Tomlinson, Horan, and Payne are taking a two month break from tour in a few days to make adjustments to their tour and work on writing (and recording) songs for their upcoming album. Coincidence? I think not.

One Direction’s management and promotion team did not do an incredible job promoting the band’s fourth album “FOUR” or their current tour. So what better way to draw attention to the band then by allowing a band member to “quit” the band, and then announcing a collaboration between the five artists?

Imagine how amazing it would be for all five young men to sing together! Oh wait, you do not have to imagine this––just listen to any of their four albums or watch videos of the band performing together.

The collaboration between the five young men also includes Malik announcing his role as the opening act for the North American leg of the On the Road Again tour.

“It is genius that One Direction has not announced who will be their opening act yet. It gives time for Malik to prepare his voice and songs for the tour. You never know what could happen…maybe Malik will stay on stage and perform some songs with Styles, Tomlinson, Horan, and Payne!” said an anonymous senior.

Malik will sing songs he has written over the years, songs that One Direction’s management failed to release on previous One Direction albums, with some help from his friend Naughty Boy. The setlist of Malik’s opening act will include Malik and Naughty Boy’s soon-to-be hit single “One Chance to Dance.”

The announcement is set to happen sometime this week. Keep your eyes locked on One Direction’s social media sites…a possible Tweet or Facebook status might be coming in our near future.

Oh, and there is one more piece of information you should know: everything above is fiction.

That is right…APRIL FOOLS! We can only hope that Malik will work with Styles, Tomlinson, Horan, and Payne in the future!
